Available: March 7th 2023 Hemulen will receive a second plate in the spring of 2023, this time in yellow. The anticipation for a new Hemulen plate has been long, as the previous Hemulen plate was discontinued in 2013. The mug will be part of the ongoing production and the Arabia's Moomin classic series. The illustration on this plate features Hemuli on the island of Hattifatteners searching for new and unique plant specimens for his plant collection using a magnifying glass. The Hemulen yellow tableware collection includes a mug, bowl, and plate. The illustrations are based on Tove Jansson's book "Finn Family Moomintroll" from 1948. The background color of the mug is yellow, with lively purple and bright green tones in the details.

Characters

Hemulen

Hemulen

In the Moominvalley the Hemulens are known as quite stubborn, bossy and very organized characters. Hemulens are not very good at taking others’ opinions into consideration, and they have absolutely no sense of humour. Hemulen loves all his collections and is profoundly immersed in his work. He likes to collect stamps and plants. He can get quite obsessive about perfecting his collection. Once the collection is complete, he quickly discovers something new to start collecting. Hemulen first appeared in Tove Jansson’s book The Moomins and the Great Flood.
