In 2004 Arabia launched a new Christmas Mug that was only in production until 2005. The original images are rarely seen pictures from Tove and Lars Jansson’s songbook Visor från Mumindalen. Tove Slotte changed the characters a little by replacing Moomintroll with Moominmamma. The Moomintroll in the mug is from Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter. The Christmas tree is originally from a postcard from 1971, Wonder of Christmas, designed for Unicef. In her design Tove Slotte made many changes to the details, combining images from several original pieces. The Little My chosen for the mug is originally from Unicef’s 1981 postcard March for Peace.
