The Christmas-themed Moomin mug, Mug Fazer, is said to be the rarest one of them all. The mug was only manufactured in 2004, and only 400 mugs were released. Fazer Café ordered this numbered set of mugs to sell at Christmas time, as they had found one of the old commercials Tove Jansson had illustrated for the company. In the 1950s Fazer used many artists to design their commercials, and Fazer advertisements with Tove Jansson’s artwork were published in the Garm magazine. There’s a special stamp on the bottom of each Fazer mug. Instead of the painting Moomin stamp, there is a dedicated number from 1 to 400 in each mug, below the Arabia crown stamp.
