Love is one of the most popular Moomin mugs still in production and it is still one of the five most sold mugs. Designing this mug Tove Slotte combined images from several different comics. The images are from Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic #15 Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo and Tove Jansson’s #07 Moomin Builds a House. The white, distinctive image of the sun is from Tove Jansson’s comic #10 Moomin Valley Turns Jungle. One of the most well-known illustrations is Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden hugging. The image is originally from Tove Jansson’s comic #11 Moomin and the Martians. “This mug makes a nice present. I’ve heard people say “Love” has been the first mug in many Moomin mug collections”, says Tove Slotte.
