Mug Dark Rose is also known as Moominmamma. It was manufactured from 1991 to 1999. It was designed by Camilla Moberg. She used the artwork from Tove Jansson’s original novels Moominland Midwinter, Moominpappa at Sea and the comic #12 Moomin and the Sea. In the mug Moominmamma is once again pictured doing household chores: Trimming her roses in the garden, in the kitchen by the stove and outside again, with a pile of stones. “To me the natural stone rock formations represent humanity and communication between people. Having lived my life in Pellinki, like Tove, I think natural stones closely belong in the archipelagos and in the Moomins”, says Moberg.
