This celebratory mug was launched in 2010 for the anniversary of the Moomins. The very first Moomin novel had been published 65 years earlier. Mug Night Sailing was a limited edition and only sold in 2010. Designer Tove Slotte chose the images for the mug. The original artwork is found in Tove Jansson’s comic strip #12 Moomin and the Sea and from the novel Finn Family Moomintroll. In the images of the mug one can see the Moomin family, a sailing boat and a lighthouse. The mug has an anniversary stamp on the bottom of the mug, instead of the usual recognizable painting Moomin stamp. For each sold anniversary mug, three euros were donated to WWF.
