This pink Snorkmaiden replaced the discontinued yellow one in 2013. Production of this mug was discontinued in 2019. Tove Slotte designed the mug that pictures Snorkmaiden as the vain character she is. In the mug Snorkmaiden is seen in front of a mirror getting ready, and walking with her jewellery and a cute bag. The original images were found in Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic strip #16 Conscientious Moomin and Tove Jansson’s comic strip #8 Moomin Begins a New Life. A bowl and a plate with the same design were launched simultaneously with the mug. A teaspoon was also released in 2014.

Who designs the illustrations for the Moomin mugs?
Tove Slotte, born in 1957, is a Finnish artist and a graphic designer. She is a professional ceramist. Tove Slotte worked at Arabia from 1985 to 1990, after which she has worked as a freelance designer. She is best known for designing and illustrating the Moomin products for Iittala and Arabia ceramics. Tove Slotte has been a Moomin fan since her childhood. She says her favourite Moomin book is The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Tove Slotte has designed the Moomin products for Arabia for more than 30 years.
