The bowl was released in 2007 and has been in production ever since. It is the first bowl to picture hattifatteners alone. Hattifatteners have been seen in the 1991 Bowl Little My. Tove Slotte chose the image from Tove Jansson’s first picture book The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. In addition to the orange bowl, the orange Hattifatteners mug was also released. It is one of designer Tove Slotte’s favourites: “I like it for both the colouring and the arrangement of the Hattifatteners mug, not for the characters themselves. Hattifatteners are quite impersonal and mystical creatures, but at the same time there’s something almost mesmerizing about them. In Japanese the Hattifatteners are called Nuoronyoro, which sounds funny.”
