Muskrat (2026–)

The Muskrat mini mug is a miniature version of the 0.3-litre Muskrat beige Moomin mug released in 2024. The original mug was also the first Moomin character mug dedicated to Muskrat. Muskrat is a philosopher who values peace and solitude and takes a calmly pessimistic view of the world. He is happiest contemplating the futility of life with his favourite book, preferably as far away from unnecessary fuss as possible. The mug’s illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s 1948 book Finn Family Moomintroll. The illustration designed by Tove Slotte and the mug’s understated beige colour palette make Muskrat instantly recognisable even in miniature form. In addition to the mini mug, the Muskrat tableware series includes a 0.3-litre mug, a bowl and a plate.
