Sniff on the Beach (2026–)

The Sniff on the Beach mini mug is a miniature version of the blue 0.3-litre Sniff Moomin mug released in 2024. The original mug was Sniff’s third character mug and replaced the discontinued turquoise Sniff mug as part of Moomin Arabia’s Classics collection. Sniff is a good-natured and sensitive character who is always eager to join in adventures, even though courage is not always his strongest trait. He dreams of riches and fame and loves everything valuable, sparkling and shiny. In the mug illustration, Sniff offers an elixir to a turtle, which unexpectedly transforms into a bullet train. On the other side, Sniff stands peacefully on the beach at sunset together with the little character Shadow, dreaming of riches and fame. The illustrations are based on Tove Jansson’s Moomintroll comic strip from 1954. The tableware illustrations were designed by Tove Slotte. In addition to the mini mug, the Sniff on the Beach tableware series includes a 0.3-litre mug, a bowl and a plate.
