The theme of love is central to many of Moomin Arabia’s early 2026 releases, and the Love 30 special mug brings this theme together. The original Love mug was introduced in 1996 and has since become the most iconic and beloved Moomin mug in Moomin Arabia’s history. The illustration featured on the mug is based on four Moomin comic strips created by Tove Jansson: Moomin and the Martians (1957), Moomin Goes Wild (1956), Moomin Builds a House (1956), and Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo (1958). The most iconic scene in the illustration – the embrace between Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden – originates from Moomin and the Martians, where Snorkmaiden hugs Moomintroll in relief after he returns to his normal size following a series of extraordinary events. The Love 30 special anniversary mug differs from the original 1996 version in several details. Inside the mug, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden are depicted standing nose to nose, surrounded by pink hearts, accompanied by a handwritten love-themed text. The quotes featured on the mug are taken from the Moomin comic strips. The base of the mug bears a Love 30 anniversary stamp, and the mug is presented in its own gift box.
