Moomintroll (2025–)

The Moomin Mug POP Moomintroll is part of the brand-new POP series by Moomin Arabia, released in 2025 and available exclusively in Japan. The POP mugs hold 0.3 litres, and the launch collection includes four character mugs: Snufkin, Moomintroll, Little My, and Snorkmaiden. On the front, Moomintroll appears with a startled expression, while on the back a crab has grabbed Snorkmaiden’s tail, and Moomintroll rushes to her rescue with a rock in hand. Inside the mug, there’s a quote typical of Moomintroll, printed in a small English speech bubble: “Oh, my goodness!” Unlike previous Moomin mugs based on Kaj Franck’s Teema design, the POP mugs are made with Irina Viippola’s 2018 Mainio shape. They are crafted from stoneware, giving the base a naturally slightly yellowish tone. On the bottom, the familiar painting Moomintroll has been replaced by painting Little My. Each POP mug comes without a sticker and is sold in its own gift box. The mugs are microwave and oven safe, but hand wash is recommended.
