Snorkmaiden (2025–)

The Moomin Mug POP Snorkmaiden is part of the brand-new POP series by Moomin Arabia, released in 2025 and available exclusively in Japan. The POP mugs hold 0.3 litres, and the launch collection includes four character mugs: Snufkin, Moomintroll, Little My, and Snorkmaiden. On the front, Snorkmaiden appears in a bikini with Moomintroll sulking under a parasol in the background. On the reverse side, Moomintroll has joined her on the beach. Inside the mug, there’s a quote typical of Snorkmaiden, printed in a small English speech bubble: “Come on to the beach, Moomin.” Unlike previous Moomin mugs based on Kaj Franck’s Teema design, the POP mugs are made with Irina Viippola’s 2018 Mainio shape. They are crafted from stoneware, giving the base a naturally slightly yellowish tone. On the bottom, the familiar painting Moomintroll has been replaced by painting Little My. Each POP mug comes without a sticker and is sold in its own gift box. The mugs are microwave and oven safe, but hand wash is recommended.
