Snufkin (2025–)

The Moomin Mug POP Snufkin is part of the brand-new POP series by Moomin Arabia, released in 2025 and available exclusively in Japan. The POP mugs hold 0.3 litres, and the launch collection includes four character mugs: Snufkin, Moomintroll, Little My, and Snorkmaiden. On the front, Snufkin listens to the sound of a seashell pressed to his ear, while Moomintroll joins him on the reverse side as Snufkin carves a wooden cup. Inside the mug, there’s a quote typical of Snufkin, printed in a small English speech bubble: “Well, I let little things happen to me and then I think they are tremendous.” Unlike previous Moomin mugs based on Kaj Franck’s Teema design, the POP mugs are made with Irina Viippola’s 2018 Mainio shape. They are crafted from stoneware, giving the base a naturally slightly yellowish tone. On the bottom, the familiar painting Moomintroll has been replaced by painting Little My. Each POP mug comes without a sticker and is sold in its own gift box. The mugs are microwave and oven safe, but hand wash is recommended.
