Th Moomin Mug Peace, which was in production between 1996 and 2002, will have a new 0.4-liter version on July 24, 2023. Initially, the mug will be available in Finland at Tokmanni department stores and in Norway at Kitchen department stores. Starting from the beginning of 2024, the mug will also be available through Moomin Arabia's own channels. The mug is illustrated with the familiar Tove Jansson's illustrations from the original Moomin Mug Peace, but this time the illustration on the bottom of the mug is different. This prevents the mug from being easily confused with the original and smaller Moomin Mug Peace.

Who designs the illustrations for the Moomin mugs?
Tove Slotte, born in 1957, is a Finnish artist and a graphic designer. She is a professional ceramist. Tove Slotte worked at Arabia from 1985 to 1990, after which she has worked as a freelance designer. She is best known for designing and illustrating the Moomin products for Iittala and Arabia ceramics. Tove Slotte has been a Moomin fan since her childhood. She says her favourite Moomin book is The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Tove Slotte has designed the Moomin products for Arabia for more than 30 years.
